well to give you some idea of this" mission"

The ride down will be Brisk

we will be stoping in Dover the night b4, then it's breaky on the boat in (French) water and we will need to land on French soil about 6am

From there on we will be stopping about every 80miles .

To get the fuel stops in ,which can be about 25mins from fill to fill, we will need to average 100Mph
now anyone knows or should be able to work out that average speed of 100mph means in certain places /conditions we will be riding in excess of 150mph (safely)

fuel stops will be (first stop) splash and dash ,second stop Tea/water/fag break and so on

what you will need to remember is, as the day goes on the body gets weary so if you have never done High speed long distance riding (This is not for you)

also the secret for doing these miles is to ride (Tight) and not race each other!
Disasters can happen !!

to keep your concentration up we play many games on route! like testing your bike against your mates Ie high speed roll ons , 4,5,6 gear

oh by the way last year nothing would touch the 996R!!!

R1's gixxer thou's etc had no chance

Relaxation and mental agility is the key!

fitness helps but i have proved time and time again (40 fags a day) it's not essential. The will to do it is!!!!!!!

well it all sounds a little crazy i know but beleive me when you are running down through swiss alps to chiaso and looking up at the swiss alps (Awsome)

the run back is much better up the n85 and a little more sedate with plenty of time to admire the views! and a few more stop over's in Gap /grenoble etc

so i'll see who's up for it then we will sort it for around Mid/late march .... Are you ready to rumble?

Tell you what Mav, we can do a hare and tortoise run-I'll be the tortoise and stop every 160-200 miles for fuel-who do you reckon will get there first??

Sounds great although I may swap the 209gp for something a little harder wearing

I guess for that duration we won't need many clothes either as I really struggle with the whole luggage thing.
