Wanted: SS side fairing stay
Hiya,

I'm wondering if anyone here has one of those "tubes" that act as side fairing stays on a carby SS - it bridges the gap between chassis and side fairing.

I'm after another after I bludgeoned to one death on my DD bike. Would be enormously grateful, and of course payment would be due! PM if you can help. Thx.

Jason.

Hi Jason, one mod I used (but cant remember where I got it from) was to pull out the rubber grommets in the tube and use a single very long bolt that is the full length of the tube + a little extra.

I found a supplier that sold bolts longer enough that with a few washers and a nyloc nut on the end I could get a rock solid fit.

Cheers - Frank

I'm hoping to get some replacements made in the way of a inch wide stainless "Z" bracket that will allow the use of Dzus fasteners as I to need to replace the one on my race bike after my off at Mallory

I used to use a long bolt through a bit of fuel hose. The bit of fuel hose makes sure the fairing doesn't rattle along the bolt. Worked fine.
