Metzler racetecs - anyone tried them.....yet??
Interested to hear what they're like but after TA3 I'm guessing you all bought full wets!

was considering them a couple of days before TA3 - went for the usual renns in the end...

I was keen on the racetecs - just didnt get any feedback from people using them on the road enough...early days maybe

Got a couple of mates use them in 600 Supersport class, they found them good enough to be in the top 4 in the New Era Superclub races the other weekend at Castle Combe, mate Simon also had them on his 748RS which he quallified 2nd in SoT class and led both races until gearbox problems put him out.

As for TA3 I already had full wets for both bikes, had it been dry I would have been on Diablo Corsas on the R6.

Thanks Skidlids

sounds pretty conclusive - they'll be more than good enough for me then!

Do you know which compound they were using - there are 3 I think??

I heard they were recommending K1 for most people - probably the hardest like rennsport street or RS3......?

How do these differ from the Rennsports?
I run RS1 front, RS2 rear.
Similar to SC1 and SC2.

As I understand it Tim they are the replacements for Rennsports, nothing stands still for to long in motorsport.

Highly recommend them, I have a pair of K1 Racetecs on my SPS - Very high levels of grip and good feedback.
Not tried them on the road, but were faultless at Brands and Cadwell.
£230 a pair from FWR in Kennington.
