What is a Y2000 750ssie worth?

I've got the chance of a 740ssie for £1700. It appears sound.

15k miles, suffering from being unloved and unused, a bit of cosmetic corrosion having sat under a cover, a runner.

I was thinking of buying it and breaking it for some essential spares and then selling the rest off.

My question is about the cost effectiveness of it. I might be able to knock another £100-200 off.

What could I expect to get for the motor, wheels, forks, bodywork etc. Or would I be better off watching EBay? It's just that I am sick of watching EBay seeing some stuff go for more than I wanted to pay.

Has anyone done something like this before?

Cheers!

I sold mine for £1750 about 8 months ago. Started at £2250 and had to come down in price to achieve a sale.

Mine sounds like similar condition to this one. It has seen 3 winters and one slow speed drop, so it was looking a little tatty. About 19k miles too.
