progress or lack of it

well with 2 weeks to go the fairing and seat mounting brackets are still not made, the fairing needs to be fiitted and trimmed then painted, the footrest lowering brackets are still not made and I need to make a catch tank(plasic coke bottle anyone).
All this should have been done at the beggining of this week but I am waiting for the metal fabricator before I can do anything else. there is also the small problem of setting up the bike as I think that the rear is a little low.
also buying large tent type thing and new gloves as mine split at rockingham this week ( I thought clothing split when you put on weight not when you lost it)

never mind at least i have got my beer fridge and tonight will get a diesel generator to power it and a light etc!

my preperations have degenerated into chaos, basically a normal state of affairs!!

If it's any consolation you aren't the only one.
Mine sprung an oil leak from a casing bolt and is currently away having it sorted and subject to that going to plan I get the bike back next week and then have to get to grips with these coke bottles and fit the rest of the brake conversion.
Despite best efforts I feel there will be a lot of chaos over the next 2 weeks for quite a few folk.

Don't worry Dave, each new day brings another ten heart-stopping moments when I remember things that need to be done! Panic comes as standard.....

How you would have laughed yesterday as my very-wet-and-freshly-painted seat unit went barrelling across the floor after I executed a perfectly controlled triple-salko while trying to cath the paint gun which had fallen off the badly-angled screw above my head...

Cheers,

Ali

I finished off my seat mounting bracket last night, which was more like a subframe!

Take one sheet of 500x250x1mm steel from B&Q (£5.39) then cut to size with the angle grinder. Add some bending with the help of a vice and hammer and it fits like a treat!

All I need now is some seat foam and that's another tick on the list.

Last night I was painting my seat unit. The result is ugly, but home made. And also I ordered some stickers, because even without sponsor I want to display something on my bike

What about "Sponsored by passion" ? Is it a good phrase in English ? I want to put this on my bike

primary list now complete that allowed me to go testing at Llandow yesterday, so now on to my secondary list required to be done by race day, just need to add clean out fuel system and source a non rusty tank to the list.
