petrol tap anyone? hi guys. well had 5 days off riding, sun shone so i pulled the 750ss out, fired her up..fine.warmed her up, turned off the motor, 5 mins later all dressed up the sod refused to start!! after having this prob b4 and changing the plugs and sucuring all the dodgy wiring, this did my head in. so i thought ..ah..i will drain the tank and put fresh fuel in. bad idea!!! unconecting all the pipes, the main pipe to the fuel tap was quite tight, so i yanked it as you do, and guess what...the conecter on the tap snapped! thats the unit that the fuel pipe slides onto. tried all day with solder/chem metal etc, but no joy. best quote for a replacement i got was £25.00+vat!! shocking. so b4 i can find out why the bugger would'nt start i have to find a replacement! any1 got a spare that they would sell me alittle cheaper? cheers pad |
