I've been doing some work on my 800ss minitwin racer chassis now that I've pretty much finished with engine development - the usual stuff of removing everything not needed. This evening it was switch gear and all electrical ancillaries...then I thought about lopping off connectors/wiring to indicators, lights etc to save a bit of weight and remove complexity...
I got carried away and built a custom front loom instead, all heat-shrunk and spiral-wrapped.... saving the grand total total of about 1/4 of a lb
At least it's easier than going on a diet
.....and it works.
I suppose I should tackle the main loom now but, that's a bit more bothersome.
