DD Meeting minutes

Apologies for this taking me so long folks, should have stopped you talking as much!!

I hope to have this ready for distribution sometime tomorrow including a list of the actions and ownership we agreed on.

Remind me never to offer again!!

CK 23-Nov-2006 16:24

Still slow then!!:-)

Great job you are doing, have you got a dd bike yet?

Lily 23-Nov-2006 16:40

Phil

I think the agreement was that this would be distrinuted to those in attendance as well as any other members that requested it.

We also agreed that there would be an area within the DD forum where it could be posted that was read only for DD reshistered individuals, however the setting up of this is an action from the meeting so I will approach the webteam and ask for them to load it up as a locked thread so people can download.

This then ensures that only people who are genuinely interested in DD will download it, although given that it was a members meeting and the DD section is public it may well be restricted to the DSC topics section if the Webteam feel this is more appropriate until things can be changed.

OI!!! cheeky git :p

Nope, no DD bike for me as yet...

Gizmo 23-Nov-2006 16:48

claire, it should be easy enough for WT to create a sub forum and only allow "registered" dd'ers into that forum, you can then post with the minutes as an attachment ( that might need your priveldges altering to allow .doc or .pdf uploads and an increased file size for attachments)

phil_h 23-Nov-2006 16:53

So, shall I move this into the 'DSC-members' section for now then ?

Eamonn 23-Nov-2006 17:42

If a copy of the document is sent to the webteam we'll put up a locked (stickied) posting under the DSC Topics area. Since the meeting was designed for members only, all attendees should therefore be able to get hold of it. Any non-members who are thinking of joining the DesmoDue series in 2007 will be able to request a copy with the various application forms, rules and regs. etc from the usual email address of DesmoDue@Ducatisportingclub.com

Eamonn.

Ray 24-Nov-2006 09:18

The locked? thread that stated how widely the minutes would be made available has gone now.

IIRC the minutes were going to be posted on the board somewhere and what Eamonns suggests appears to be perfectly reasonable if openess and transparency to the DSC membership is the aim.

Ray.

Iconic944ss 24-Nov-2006 10:03

Ray, I can't find any recently deleted thread about the minutes

Any idea which forum it was in?

I'm also wondering (if theres nothing TRUELY contentious in the minutes) if they should just be posted in the DD forum anyway - and made public - in case anyone is awaiting an outcome before joining DesmoDue for the first time.

Just a thought....

Frank

Ray - PM on its way too.......

Ray 24-Nov-2006 10:11

Frank,

The thread exclusively about the minutes it has info about the meeting, who was running it, etc, etc, etc etc it was a sticky. I'd say it has gone within the last 3 or four days.

The title might have been along the lings of "DD meeting open to all members"

or such like.

Ray.

Iconic944ss 24-Nov-2006 10:19

Is this the one your were thinking of Ray?

(DSC Topics)

Frank

Ray 24-Nov-2006 10:28

Frank,

Ooooops yep thats the one, still there, maybe it just losts it's sticky, I didn't look down the page, or even more likely I just lost the plot:D

The bit I was really looking for "Timescales
Mon 23/10 10pm Chair and team agreed
Mon 23/10 – Wed 8/11 Questions or topics for discussion sent to the chair
Wed 8/11 – Wed 15/11 Questions/discussion points collated and clarified
Thur 16/11 Questions/discussion points can be requested from the chair
Sat 18/11 Review meeting

This approach will also be issued through Avanti and via pronto, the minutes and actions will be collated and available in the public domain."

Thanks,

Ray

Redruth 24-Nov-2006 10:52

Good on ya, Lily. I didn't envy you that task! Yes, Ian, fingers recovered thanks.

Yes, well done Claire for taking this on, regardless.

RUTH! - How strange, I've just finished reading your well written article in Pronto...fancy us both riding the same bike at Cadwell!

But your outcome has been quite a bit better than mine - you lucky lady!

Cheers - Frank

Redruth 24-Nov-2006 18:37

Nice picture Frank

I do love those shiny black fairings, don't you :D

Redruth 24-Nov-2006 18:53

Is that a front mudguard? And did you find the Dzus fasteners?

Lily 24-Nov-2006 20:23

I completed the minutes today finally!!!

I have sent them to PJ to distribute as he has everyone's email address. Once distributed they will also be passed to Eammon to be posted in DSC topics.

I must apologise for any grammatical points and the occasional lack of consistency in style due to trying to retain the actual comments made by people at the meeting where this was pertinent to the point being made.

I believe that the points reflect the meeting accurately however if anyone feels they have been misquoted or a point missed that specifically alters the point being documented then please let me know and I will endeavour to make the changes as appropriate.

Thanks for your patience and apologies for the delay.

Now onto getting the actions completed!!

Fordie 25-Nov-2006 08:06

Lily, Im sure Im not the first to say a big THANK YOU for the work and effort you have put into helping with this issue . All for the good and well being of the DSC,its members and friends. Most people look upon Rules and Regs as "Who give a toss" "You make em we break em" "Health and Safety" ,been doing it this way for years. The DD is an important DSC activity with many strong minded people participating, now this has been implimented every one taking part is on the same playing field and have all had there say (DD riders)in whats required. 4D

Iconic944ss 27-Nov-2006 12:24

The minutes for the meantime are only available to full paid up members via the DSC topics forum and this thread:

Regards - Frank

2 more not on the list; Crust slipped in at the back just after we started, and stayed till we broke for lunch, also a chap was also sitting at the back who came in a big car. Cant remember his name (could have been 'Tom' ??), but he was chatting to Eric for a few mins in the lunch break, and I remember he said he was an old friend of Paul James & used to ride with him before the DSC started up in the old days

I'm sure Claire will confirm that I requested that Toms name be added to the attendees prior to you posting this CK. Tom is a life member of this club.

Paul

I can't see any Tom on the list you sent through, can you let me have his full name so I can add it to the updated minutes. Thanks

It was on an email which you replied to later, I asked you to add them as you are doing the editing. As follows:

"I am in error by not including Tom Blair and Debra Rubino on the list of attendees, perhaps I could ask you to add them to the list ?"

Hope this clarifies.

Once again well done and thank you for taking this on Claire !

Lily 28-Nov-2006 12:06

Ahh yes, thanks Paul, had just looked at the list not the email.

Will add them onto the updated minutes.

Lily 29-Nov-2006 10:48

Folks

I will be updating the minutes tonight with the feedback I have had so far. If you would like to see anything changed please let me know today.

Can I also ask that anyone that has an action against them to please provide an indicative timescales for it being completed so everyone will have an idea when things will be resolved and finalised.

Thanks
