Damn! Broken my camcorder - any thoughts?
 

Ive gone and bust the flip-out LCD screen of my camcorder, thus rendering it pretty much useless as all the controls are accessed using it... :(

Does anyone know if its possible to have the LCD screen bit replaced on camcorders (mines a Panasonic), or am I looking at shelling out another £500 less than 6 months after I bought the first one???!!!!!

Downside is that this will likely put an end to my onboard videoing of Silverstone on Monday... :(:(:(

Throw away technology I`m afraid. Claim on the insurance and get a new one.:o

Have you looked into claiming . mate of mine got a new laptop a year ago form his house insurance after It fell down the stairs :D

yep, was thinking of an insurance job. only thing is that i made a claim for a new Arai lid last summer, and before that was something else... you know ins companies they start to get a bit arsey when you make too many claims. :mad:

found a shop local to me who can replace the lcd unit for £120 all in. so will prob do that.

much to my releif though, it still works with the bullet cam so can still do some onboard from silverstone!!! ;)
