Damn! Broken my camcorder - any thoughts?

Ive gone and bust the flip-out LCD screen of my camcorder, thus rendering it pretty much useless as all the controls are accessed using it...

Does anyone know if its possible to have the LCD screen bit replaced on camcorders (mines a Panasonic), or am I looking at shelling out another £500 less than 6 months after I bought the first one???!!!!!

Downside is that this will likely put an end to my onboard videoing of Silverstone on Monday...

Throw away technology I`m afraid. Claim on the insurance and get a new one.

yep, was thinking of an insurance job. only thing is that i made a claim for a new Arai lid last summer, and before that was something else... you know ins companies they start to get a bit arsey when you make too many claims.

found a shop local to me who can replace the lcd unit for £120 all in. so will prob do that.

much to my releif though, it still works with the bullet cam so can still do some onboard from silverstone!!!
