Tyre Pressures

I am sure that some one can give me the recommended tyre pressures for a 748 Bip. I've fitted a single seat so ride alone with no passenger and medium to fast riding.
I've checked the current presure and find the rear at 26psi and front at 15 psi, which I'm sure is not right?

:puzzled:

Help appreciated before the weekend when I plan to ride out to Barmouth and through Snowdownia Sunday if the weathers good:burn:

IIRC 33F and 36R but wait for the experts to come along and confirm that.

Thanks Zed & Chris, I will pump them up then as we dont want any tumbles do we:barfy:

The weather looks s*@t for the week end so looks like I'll have plenty of time to prepare.

I have the same bike as you, 748S with bp seat. I run 31F and 34R. Feels solid on roads for me.

Reduce to 30 all round for track.

anything you run HAS to be better than what you have....

It's all down to personal feel and how quickly you want the bike to be or how 'flighty' might be a better turn of phrase....

It can also depend on road conditions, weather and temperature.

Like said about anything over 31 is 'road' sort of pressures, up to and including 37-38 depending on preference.

It's generally a little lower on the front tyre pressure than the rear (on road approx 2-3psi and track 1-1.5psi)

32 - 34

I run 33F 35R for road, feels fine. I also run a 70 profile up front as opposed to OEM fitted 60, works for me.

CipiVTS 21-May-2006 13:49

I run 120/70 front 180/55 on my 916.

What pressures do you guys recommend on street and on track.

The pressures given here are measured with cold tyres or warm?

Regards

Pressures always with cold tyres.

Read above for the answer!
