Sticky Stuff...

Evenin'

I want to remove some of the decals on my ninja...

Does anyone have any tips for getting them off?, they're not laquered over but i could do something to help disolve the solvent.

Would thinners work or too harsh???

Fingers crossed its dry tomorrow, duc's going on a long thrash somewhere if not ninjas coming to pieces!

Thanks in advance

Ant

I usually use Brake cleaner or carb cleaner, can't rember which is the best out of the two for doing it.

Eucalipyus oil is the best stuff for removing any of that gummy sticky stuff. And it smells good too!

Heat them up with a hair drier then they just peel off!

Then you can clean the area up with a brillo pad and brake fluid!!!!!!!!!!

But a hair drier really does work.

Thanks guys

Ooh...now where's my Nicky Clarke sweetie...

White spirit is a lot less harsh than brake cleaner. Softens the glue and allows you to clean it all off gentley.

Bit of WD40 should fetch the sticky stuff off no probs :)

Have you tried Iso Propyl Alcohol available from any chemists, will remove most glue residue and oily marks, Benzine is the next step up but a bit more harsh than IPA.
