Why do they put a sweat band around the master cylinder ? :confused:

I was told by a racer mate it was to keep damp out of the brake fluid, others say it's to soak up the fluid if you have a crash. Who cares they look cool!

I think they stop the fluid from being affected by sunlight too :confused:

To absorb any any seepage and dribbles........

Brake fluid is Hydroscopic and will try to leech out into the atmosphere......
