Clutch pressure plate removal When I slide the pressure plate off, the push rod appears to be fixed to it and pulls out with it? Do I just need to tap it loose/free, so the pressure plate slides off, leaving the rod in place? Thought I would do the sensible thing and ask before I reach for the hammer... |
That's normal. There's no problem about removing the plate and rod together. If you need to separate them, you can do it 'off the bike', but normally there's no need. Make sure the two O-rings on the rod aren't damaged, and clean, then lightly grease the rod before you put it back. |
Understood, cheers. |
How do I seperate the 2? I have a new clutch plate to fit. |
