Question 996 race bike/help?

Hi All,

After many years of 'i want!' well err... i have now got my mits on a late model 996 to race in the sound of thunder

Well it's a typical race/track bike bit rough around the edge's but basicly sound. now i've had new belts fitted the only prob is the lack of idiot lights, got rev/temp and as yet have been unable to find the light connection to the speedo( only had a quick looksee) I have the speedo complete showing about 600 mile.

I don't rearly fancy running it in anger without an oil light and need it sorted before the end of this month so i can run it at Cadwell

Any input welcome

RSV if you take off the nose cone and look behind the rev counter pod, you will see where each light bulb is located. They are a push fit. Pull each one out one at a time, check the bulb and replace it before removing another. This will save you the hasle of having to sort out which bulb goes where.
If that fails, check the connection on the pressure switch just in front of the clutch housing. Failing that it might need a new pressure switch?
