Speedo drive spacers

I've been asked by one of the entrants to make up some bits for his bike, one item which may interest others is a spacer to replace the speedo drive on the front wheel. It should make wheel changes easier. This fits a 20mm spindle and is 35mm long, if this fits your bike (depending on model) and you'd like one in Aluminium they will be a fiver each if you send me a jiffy bag with stamp and address on.

Anybody stuck for turned parts for the bikes or proper thread inserting just get in touch.

Best email direct at ducatiman@btconnect.com if interested.

Anyone who knows the models enough to say which this will fit?

It'll save me heading outside with the micrometer....

At 35mm wide with a ID of 20mm and a OD to suit then they will deffo fit the 1996/7 600SS, as I have already made a couple of nice Alloy ones for mine and Senna3's bikes.

Thanks for the info Skids, I guessed it might be a fairly standard part.

I've been offering a thread repair service for some time now, I hate helicoils so when I was racing sourced some fantastic solid inserts. As my engines were regularly stripped and rebuilt I put inserts in to the cases at vulnerable points which made working on them much easier. It can rescue damaged castings which you might otherwise have to chuck away !.

Anybody interested just give me a call.

Fitted mine this morning after finishing off the fork rebuild, looks a lot nicer than the speedo drive. Another couple of jobs off my list, now back to the garage.

Been out in the garage myself and not having the speedo drive will make the carbon dash look a lot better
