What I will be wearing

no - not a fluorescent rubber chicken costume - although I could be pursuaded if the right sponsor came along.

I'm slightly hesitant of going into a race situation without being able to see what's behind me so I was very interested when a friend told me about these.

Just spoke to the company and they hope they will be in the shops by the end of Feb. At £280-300 they won't be cheap, but new technology rarely is.

Any points of view from the race-experienced out there? Do you miss your mirrors?

Why worry about what's happening behind you, and be distracted? Worry about what is in front of you.

I don't doubt my ability to emerge from a corner unscathed on an empty road - but it would be nice to know if someone plans to come up the inside...

If you're being lapped, be aware of the flags, and move off the racing line. If it's for position, let them worry about the gap and getting passed! If you worry about what their doing, you're not looking where ya going in my mind. Thus dangerous.
