I've done it - I've Become the Thing I Hate ...

Passed my car driving test (at the first attempt) this morning. I am now a qualified "steel cage and mobile chicane" operator.

Didn't look too promising first thing this morning, snow falling out the sky and beginning to settle - "Blinkin' typical", I thought. Still, all's well that ends well.

Now, where did I put that bucket of vallium tablets ...

well done mate, you now have a truly mobile office and somewhere to make all your phone calls in peace ....

What sort of car are you going to buy?

They're all much of a muchness, if you're staying within the realms of 'reasonable insurance without No Claims discount'.

Just don't buy a Smart Car if you want to retain people's genuine respect.

If you must know, the first brand new car I ever bought (as opposed to 2nd hand heaps of junk) was a blue and yellow Citroen 2CV, so I'm not exactly your fine judge of motoring excellence, am I? Not with cars, at least. Obviously, I am with bikes!
