Quick technical question please...

I'm about to google it, but if any1 has an instant answer there's a brownie point up for grabs:

What size hole do i need to drill to tap in a M10 thread?

About 4' 3" I reckon.....

If it's for the DD bike I suggest you ride it flat out into the side of a skip then cover it in petrol and set fire to the bugger!! Nothing left to tap, nothing left to drill.....

I should really be on helpdesk.

Thanks AK, I just found it in a engineering forum... says between 8.5 and 8.8mm depending on material.

Tapping into alluminium so I think a wider thread would be needed so I'll start with 8.5

Give Al a brownie point anyway.

Ali... I expected nothing else!
