The reason I ask is, do you expect to get there on time leaving at 5.45? How many miles is your route?

(just bumping up your reply quota for you, incidentally )

Hi, i dont know exactly what route you are planning to take to Snett, but i used to work alot in Stevenage and live near Snet in Norwich, i know its not a great route by bike but by car its the most direct and quickest, Stevenage, Baldock, Royston A505 past Duxford to the A11 short burst of the A14 back on to the A11 and carry on past Barton Mills, Thetford and Snet is about 10 miles from there, by car early in the morning it was'nt to hard to do it in about an hour and a half at a decent speed hope this is of some help to ya

Paul,

I'm leaving Tring (the other side of Herts) at about 6.15-ish, and will be passing north of Stevenage at around 7.00ish, do you think you're leaving a bit early??? Should only be about 65 miles on straight-ish unpopulated (at that time) roads from Baldock to Snetterton - obviously I'm planning to stay well within the speed limits...

If you think you'll still be around at 7.00, let me know

Jas

P.s. Just looked and there are 5 speed cameras on the A505 and 3 on the A11 - as Shaw Taylor used to say on Police 5............'Keep 'em peeled'

Jas,

I'm hopefully going to snet tomorrow (the forecast seems to be improving) - but not sure what time yet.

I can make Stevenage for 07:00 - i think Glyn is up for it as well, but again, not sure what sort of time he had in mind.

I'll check back on the board later to see what the options are.

See you all there, if you are doing the track day we are in the inter/adv group. Look out for the loud monster as I'm coming through.
