Mort\'s last journey

In a quiet but moving ceremony, Mort made his final journey to Cadwell yesterday.

His family made the journey from Leicestershire, and with a few DSC in attendance scattered his ashes in the woods overlooking Hall Bends.

RIP you owd bugger, you'll be sorely missed.

Reading this from the other side of the world, I had to wipe a tear from my cynical old eyes.

You see, the last time that I ever saw Mort in person, and swapped the banter that he was always up for, was at Hall Bends watching the first DD race

RIP Mort, I will nod to you every time I ride through Hall

The only thing that was missing from such an excellent day was Mort...

Halls bends belongs to you my friend...

See you on my next trip to Cadwell: Halls bends, under the tree with a sauvignon blanc!
