Front axle nut size for a 600ss

Could someone please tell me the size of the front axle nut on a 96 600ss? I need to get the front wheel off for the first time and have found that instead of it being a standard nut it is instead hollow and requires an allen key style socket that is much larger than i currently have

Also any idea who sells such an item, preferably tht will fit on a 1/2" drive?

I think its 14mm but not sure I can check after work, but if you have a 10mm bolt around with a 14mm head you could check yourself if its quicker.
I use a 3 stepped hex key that I got of Dennis Trollope Racing it has 14,17 & 19mm hexs on it, as I said I think its the 14mm end I use

Thanks skidlids - I was all set to whip the wheel off last night and then duh axle bolt - never thought about the bolt idea! Do you know of any decent toolshops online that sell specialist stuff? I am guessing your stepdown hex wont fit on a drive and therefore not on a torque wrench either?

Mine is a bit like this

So you can fit a torque wrench and socket on the other end.

Wow! Thanks very very much for that - it is probably the most helpful reply I have ever had on a bulletin board! Thanks!
