I thought that the story was good but Christian Bale was crap. Trying far too much to be like Michael Keaton in it.

We're you on Peyote when you watched the film

Bale's excellent, and can do dark very well, American Psycho anyone.

the next 2 films will hopefully live up to this, I'm just gutted that Bale took Batman over Bond

Nope, I was on the plane to San Francisco at the time!

I honestly thought he was very "plasticy" in it, almost as if that Batman mask was too tight! Sure he's a good actor (at least in the roles he has done so far) but this was almost a parody of himself!

Thank god he didn't take Bond...

So..there doing follow ups then Jase..? Me and 'er indoors did wonder..was puzzled at the end when Gary Oldman pulled out the joker card wether this would lead back to the old films or a new set completely..

Bale's contracted for 2 more.

Friend of mine is on the SFX team and they're really looking forward to the next ones as they're keeping the same director

No idea about the story lines, but I do know the the joker will re-appear and will be an evil s-o-b. Possilbly played by Sean Penn who seems to be the current favourite.
