Torque arm upgrade - worth it or not ?

I've noted a few times that later models of DUke than mine are fitted with an 'upside-down' caliper and a torque arm - I quite like the look of this setup but in reality is it really worth uprating an older setup ???

I imagine the intention is less suspension squat when using the rear brake?

Actually, I've just talked myself out of doing this already as I hardly use my rear brake anyways
