Hi everyone,
I did my first belt change today on my '99 748 bip. I used a Facom Tensioner and aligned the belts centrally on the pulleys/sprockets (where the old ones were before I removed them).
However, when I turned the engine over by hand to check the timing marks the belts moved laterally on the sprockets towards the engine casing (not close enough that they are rubbing or anything)...
I haven't run the engine yet I presuming they will centralise themselves when running at the correct speed, or is it a case of them sitting in a slightly different position because they are under a different tension compared to the old ones?
Anyone had a similar experience?
Ta very much,
Stinkwheel.
