So i havent filled up in a while as ive been on holiday for 3 weeks and i didnt ride for a while before i went away...so i hadnt needed to get fuel.
I filled up this morning, and Optimax was more than a pound a litre at my local shell garage. My bike is my primary transport - i dont have a car, and at this rate i doubt id ever be able to run one with fuel being so expensive
Remember when fuel hit 80p a litre - everyone went insane and blockaded everything. why has no one done anything recently?
And do you remember when you drove up to the pump and there was an attendant standing there to put the petrol in for you, take your money into the office and return with your change?
Oh, I nearly forgot...you could get 5 star petrol too. And I've still got some of the free drinks glasses you used to get off them.

Do you remember when you bought a gallon of petrol they had a portable 2 stroke oil dispenser that looked like a fire extinguisher, and would put a shot or more of oil directly into your petrol tank depending on the mixture required?
I try to run my bike on Optimax and have developed this sad obsession of checking out fuel prices every time I pass a Shell garage in the area. I just say to myself my bike needs it and I should stop moaning about how much money they are all making of the back off my pleasure in riding.
