Alternator rotor retaining nut?

Hi Gents,

Would someone be kind enough to tell me what the Torque settings are for the alternator rotor retaining nut on 1997 916 Bip

I don't recall the exact figure but, Ducati John did mine on the 800 recently and he mentioned something about the factory now doing it to some ridiculously high figure like 150-200Nm.

You WILL need the holding tool though at that torque. Use some thread lock on it as well

I replaced mine recently as I had the flywheel off...

Like Nelly says used Loctite (threadloc that is, not superglue!), but I used a 2p to lock the engine... Put it between the flywheel/starter teeth and Bobs your Dad's brother!
