Bike Hire London - Recommendations

As per my other thread (http://www.ducatisportingclub.com/sh...ad.php?t=35267) my bike is playing up and my weekend trip is in jeopardy. Therefore, I need to consider my options.

On of these is to hire a bike for a few days. Can anyone recommend somewhere in London that does decent bikes at a reasonable price and allows overseas travel on them?

Thanks!

There is a Honda dealer in Ruislip that hire bikes for overseas trips. Not sure of the name could be HGT or something like that. Had a chat with a guy this year in France who hired a bike for the week and went down into Spain.
They cover everything insurance, recovery the lot and very reasonable.
Good Luck.
Failing that Henners has more bikes than you can shake a stick at !!!!!!!!

Thanks for the tip Red-Leader. I think they're called HGB - http://www.hgbmotorcycles.co.uk/

I'll give them a call. At this stage any bike for the weekend is better than no bike :-) Some wouldn't been seen dead on a Deauville, at the moment it's looking pretty good to me.

Thanks for the input everyone. I also cross posted this over on the London Bikers forum, where I had suggestions of About Town bikes and Raceways too (thanks Antonye).

About Town could do me a BMW R1150 RT for £390 for the weekend - including European insurance and breakdown etc. A VFR800 was £20 more expensive.

Raceways offered me an FJR1300 for £355 with all the insurance etc.

As Raceways is within walking distance of my workplace, and quite a bit cheaper, I decided to go with them.

Thanks again. This should be a laugh.
