I was out in the Lake District on me 800ss roadbike on Sunday. it absolutely hosed it down at various times. Neither Ducatis in our party broke down...but the nearly new ZX9R did with electrical probs.
So on rideouts so far this year we've only had Jap bikes breakdown - about 4 IIRC. Meanwhile the Ducatis have been splendidly reliable.
Nevr had any water/electrical problems even when i've come back from the ring on my 996 in torrential rain. Also had 100% reliability from my '95 trident/sprint yesterday when rode back from germany in monsoon conditions.
My Duc's obviously not as resiliant as your lots First sign of rain at Cadwell, down to one cylinder not to be recovered until everything was stripped, WD-40ed, then siliconed up so no more water could go in

That's karma. Payback for all those nasty things you and him have said about Ducatis in the past. PMA is everything - expect it to break and it will. Of course - mine never have broken and nor will they break
