Most parts are still available from "specialists",more so than Ducati.Genuine single seats are rare, plenty of copies available,Ricambi Weiss do a quality job for 79 Euros.Rear shocks can be had new or rebuilt (Maxton).Fairing panels available new (Germany),nose/headlight section rare.Genuine SP exhausts rare,Sil Moto amongst others still available. The only parts Ive wanted and cant find so far are SP type footrests.

Hi, Check out the thread on 888 questions, there should be enough there to be going on with! Then go back through the 888/851 threads, loads of things to think about there! Some of the best info' on the web.

is it possible to weld the strada seat hump up and fill and paint it to look like the sp this would save all the hassel of fitting a aftermarket one

I asked the same question myself, the answer was no.The material isnt the easiest to weld, plus the time to blend the pillion cover in,theres a hole to be filled where the pillion seat pad would have been, etc etc.Its easier to buy another seat unit,The Ricambi seat was no real problem to fit.
