Multistrada Oil Temp....

Hi there.

Could any of you luckly Multistrada owners tell me what oil temperature you're seeing on a regular basis?

We run a 1000DS Monster and regularly see over 100 degrees C, even with the ambient temp being around 20. This is not uncommon on the Monsters or Supersports but I'd like to know wheather this problem affects the MTS as well.

We're developing a twin-cooler conversion for the Monster & SS 1000 and maybe the MTS needs it as well.

Cheers.

Lee.

Cheers guys.

It looks like the Multistrada also runs a bit hot.

I'll post something when I've got a conversion sorted.

Cheers.

Lee.

guys,
I've never seen mine go above 60 degrees C. It actually went below 40 when it started raining and I was on a dual carraigeway doing about 60mph.

I have since put a padded envelope in front of the cooler, oil temps goes above 90 degrees in traffic now and about 70 when moving.

I suppose this is a feature of oil cooled engines when the manufacturer couldn't be bothered to fit a thermostat ...
