broken stem

just noticed ive got a little crack in the stem of my wing mirror
silly question i suppose butwhats the best repair method
i was thinking of maybe putting a fiberglass patch inside the stem

i dont wont to put on any thing that might weaken the plastic i know super glue can sometimes do this on some materials

any views??

All four mirrors on both my ST's have done this. I never worried about it! Where is the crack? Mine were underneath at the fairing end.

I think there is a big spring thing inside so evenif it cracks all the way round the mirror wont drop off. They dont list the bits of the mirror individually either so its either reapir time of get a new one!
