Hyside Motorcycles Summer Ride - Sunday 9th August

In celebration of the first summer in our new location, Hyside Motorcycles will be hosting a Summer Ride on Sunday 9th August.

All of our KTM and Ducati riders will be welcome to join us on this event and we will be riding the fantastic Cambridgeshire Fen roads to finish our ride at the Nene Valley Railway. The Nene is a superb place to visit and is a working steam railway yard.

Our run will meet at the Norton Heath Cafe on the A414 between Chelmsford and Ongar. The Café has everything we need. Easy parking, great food and a garage across the road. Please ensure that the bike has a full tank of fuel.

The aim is to register from 9am until 10 when we will be departing from the café. The Norton Heath will be open from 8am.
We will supply each rider with a Roadbook containing details of the run and the route it will follow. Please be aware that the ride will be running at designated speed limit and be using the "Rolling Marker System” Let us explain.

We use a "Lead Bike” and an "Anchor Bike”. These riders know the route. The lead machine will signal to the bike behind to "mark” a turn. The rider stops safely and stays on the "mark” until the Anchor Bike signals to move back into the body of the group.

These actions enable the rest of the riders to see the turns and follow direction changes. We are all responsible for the success of the run and no rider should get lost if these simple actions are followed.

It's going to be a brilliant day and we look forward to welcoming you at the Norton Heath for this event.

Address is Norton Heath Café, 1 Prospect Villas, Norton Heath, Essex, CM40LQ

See you on the 9th August.
