Top yoke

Another question.

I need to remove my top yoke from my 748, I,ve look in the manual to see how to do this but find it a bit unclear.
Is it quite a simple job. and how do I do it? Do I have to undo the round thing with the hole around it (in the middle of the yoke)

Thanks

Rich

Easy mate.
Remove the steering damper by taking the bolt attached to the frame on the right as you look at it then the one clamping the damper itself, bit tricky this one but turning the bars a bit and twisting the damper makes access easier.
Leave the clamp fastened to the yoke.
Undo the three allen bolts at each 'corner' of the yoke.
The ones near the clip ons are tricky but possible with perseverance, you might find it easier to remove the master cylinders but try first, from memory my brake master needed removing only.
once the three allen bolts are loose it will wiggle off or tap it from underneath with the shaft of a hammer just in case its a bit stuck if not been off before.

Peice a p!ss really.
