Reliability issues - a theory (not a very pc one)

Unreliability – Ducati’s – NEVER… well maybe sometimes!

I have a theory – not very pc as far as it goes but here goes anyway…

It’s a well-known fact that the majority of the workforce in Bologna who build Ducatis are women.

It is also a well-known fact, supported by extensive medical research, that women who work together often fall in synch in their menstrual cycles. There is evidence to support this from the medical profession as well as from other sources – I recall that one group tested was a bunch of nuns from the same convent.

Another, very well-known, fact is that women can occasionally become emotional, moody or even murderous at certain ‘times of the month’. It has also been noted that this can also have a detrimental effect upon their ability to do their job properly at this time of the month (probably too busy planning their roller-skating in white trousers outings to the local park and the like).

Occasionally a Ducati rolls off the production line which does not meet the usual high quality and standard of your average Ducati. My theory is that these bikes are ‘pre-menstrual’ Ducatis (PMD) which will cause the owner nothing but trouble.

It is these particular PMDs that cause most of the problems and leads other (less discerning) motorcyclists to assume that all Ducatis are the same.

Or p’raps I just have too much time on my hands...

Just wait till the Female members read this

Some might say that the majority of Ducati's are OK ,then that would point to the majority of the workforce getting it right , well if the Majority of the workforce are women ?????????????

Thats what you call Irish logic !!!

Nik, I'd change my ID and move house if I were you......be afraid, be very afraid

As you point out, it's hardly pc and as one of the people who recently complained about sexists remarks in other posts, I naturally do not condone this kind of observation. However, your post says your conclusions are based on scientific evidence and as such, I reserve the right to have a little chuckle

what you may not realise is that a lot of the female workforce were taken from another local factory when it closed down. That factory was making ladies underware. Ducati realised the skills of the workforce, as they had to work with small detail so employed a lot of them. Thing with your 749 sir?

Nik, I thougt it was funny, but even funnier was a comment I read about a particular M600 monster that was made during one particular PMD week.... It has a ' sexist comment ' sensor on board and is liable to cause the bike to self destruct within 2 days of it's owner making said ' sexist comments ! '

Nik..... Be afraid... Be VERY afraid !!
