Seat coverings

Its been discussed on here a few times before about covering seats (of any models) with suede/alcantera etc...well I've managed to find a local guy who works from home, covering seats for the likes of Jordon and Williams (both local F1 teams).

He's had my seat for 2 days, covered it in black alcantera...for the very reasonable (read: friggin cheap) price of £35! Beats £90 exchange from tecmoto or Casoli!

The guy has been doing it for years...his workshop is a sight to behold with more materials than you can ever think of. Because the F1 teams use the alcantera material and get through a fair bit, he buys it by the big roll and therefore always has it in stock...and because he used sooooo much, can do it for a great price.

Anyways...the point being that I mentioned to him that I know of a couple of other people (i.e. you guys) whom may be interested, and he said no problem!

So if anyone is interested...£35 + p&p to cover your 748/9** seat. He can do any model/seat style...probably in a variety of colours, although I didn't ask, although obviously the price may vary if more material is used etc.

Drop me a U2U and we can take it from there...I have absolutely no connections with this guy, he just does a great job for a great price!

Piccie attached...although I think you know what a seat looks like...doh

I know, it's horrendous how much people charge for it, and sometimes it's not even proper Alcantera but mock suede instead ... these two are definitely not the same thing!

A friend of mine has worked in the interior trim business for nearly 20 years and offered to do seats for me too. He would buy a roll and could retrim a seat for about the same price, so it's certainly a good deal.

Just got my 748 seat covered in Alcantara for £45+VAT by a chap in Stafford, so didn't need to spend any extra on P+P but £35 sounds a real good deal. Is there VAT on top of the £35?

I drive through Oxfordshire regularly so it would be worth knowing your contact's details if I need to get a re-cover or another one done.

I'll drop you a U2U

Rgds

John
