Torque Conversions

Lots of you seem to have problems finding or converting torque settings for your machines.

Try going to a site called STURTEVANT RICHMONT, try using Google to find it, you will find there a good conversion page that will convert anything to anything including Nm to Ft lb`s

Roughly:

I Newton = 1/4 lb. (about the weight of an apple, geddit?)

1 metre is approx 3ft.

Hence 1.0 Nm approx = 3/4 ft.lb

Useful to bear this in mind when you can't always lay your hands on conversion factors/tables readily.
