This Sunday 15th - Sussex Regional Meet at JH in Findon.

Regrettably I am working again this weekend so won’t be able to join you for a chat and a legendary John Henry’s breakfast.

Due to my work commitments, I work every other weekend but unfortunately this always conflicts with our Sussex regional meet which I enjoy and dearly like to attend more often. Previously, I have used my annual holiday to attend but this unfair on my family, besides I now have to use the vast majority of my annual holiday during school holidays.

Both Roy (Doogalman) and Paul (Phsychlist) have suggested that I move the Sussex Sunday to another weekend.
Taking their ideas in to consideration, I think moving our Sussex regional meet backwards one week would be a bad idea as this would conflict with the popular and well attended Hants meet. Therefore I think as we do not have a Surrey RO at the moment and no official Surrey meet, although there is sometimes an unofficial Surrey meet at Box Hill, I think that if it is ok with members, can we move the Sussex meet to the 4th Sunday thus replacing the defunct Surrey Sunday meet?

If this fails, I'll have no alternative but to resign my position as Regional Organiser for Sussex due to the fact of being unavailable to commit my time to a post I feel requires attendance as an absolute minimum.


I don't think that this website, in particular this section (Rideouts/Meets) allows 'Polls', so please post your constructive ideas and opinions below.

Sounds like a good idea to me Richard...... we always like the 272 run to Findon, be good if it started from this month as I am at Mallory watching the Knight Road Racing team in action this Sunday!

4th Sunday is the 22nd, DD is the 29th I think.

There are no objections to the change of the Sussex regional meet from the 3rd to the 4th weekend in the month posted here. If there are, no member has added a comment to message board.

It is the Sussex regional meet today (22nd) at John Henry's. See you there.
