Cleaning the oil level site glass.

Anybody got any tips on cleaning the oil level site glass. I find it almost impossible to see the oil level due to deposits on the inside of the glass.
Will something like engine flush damage a wet clutch or do I have to take off the housing and get a rag to it?

Is it milky? Just give it a good thrashing to get the water vapours out!

After giving it the "Italian Tuneup" as Felix suggests remove the oil filler cap when you get home (Making sure you put it back in when next you go for a ride...). This helps to ensure the condensation doesn't reappear while the bike cools down.
