748R PROBLEM?
HAVE A 748R RACE/TRACK BIKE AND HAVE NOT USED IT FOR 3 WEEKS...STARTED HER UP AND INSTEAD OF THE USUAL NICE FUEL PUMP SOUND THERE IS A HIGH PITCHED SHRILL WHICH I CAN STILL SLIGHTLY HEAR WHEN RUNNING.

SHE STARTS UP OK AND RUNS FINE.

DO YOU THINK I HAVE A FUEL PUMP PROBLEM?

HELP PLEASE AS IT NEEDS TO BE SORTED FOR THE 10TH TRACK DAY AT ROCKINGHAM!

It's never done it before and the fuel pump usually makes a sound as you turn the ignition, then stops...this continues to make a high electrical squeak that does'nt go away.
strange

I know it might sound a daft question but is there plenty of fuel in it and its just not running dry? I have a 749 fuel pump if you are stuck but dont know if they are the same or not.

Had to go check once you said that!
all is fine with fuel....half tank.
maybe it just needs another good hard run to clear/show up any glitches.

Funny that - I could hear a high pitched whining noise which started as soon as I started the bike & got louder each time I nailed the throttle. Got a single seat unit now, which cured the problem.
