First chain did 18,000 miles and was pretty well...

First chain did 18,000 miles and was pretty well worn by then,
although it still looked OK. Now on 26,000 miles with genuine
Ducati replacement.

just put on second set of Avon azzarro St's they work for me wet or dry
one or two up.

Hello all, is it me or has petrol quality/composition changed over the past fortnight here in dear old blighty?

Been using the St4s for daily 120 mile round trip to work, and over the past fortnight...

17,500 miles on my St4s and its' time to 'do' the chain and sprockets, what works best, smaller front sprocket or larger rear? Anyone got a preferred make, I've been 'offered' Renthal...

No real appreciable difference,if anything, front one was slightly 'sootier' (is that a right word ) :lol:

Looks like I'll have to plan a visit to a workshop somewhere, trouble is...

I think NGK plugs tend to run 'hotter' than the equivalent 'Champion' ones anyway,
based on previous experience with other
(older) bikes. (I'm a former 'Jota'...

St4s spark plugs question

This might be a silly question,but here goes....

Done the cam-belts today, but my spark plugs are a little worse for wear,
anyone have a recommendation for a slightly 'hotter' grade plug...

The new official Ducati belts I've got in my grubby paws have the following part number written on them

Gates Powergrip (made in UK)
HTD 120 2 1 11DS

Seems daft to me to pay 'extra'...

Since changing job circumstances mean
I now use my St4s for my daily 135mile round trip to work ,its clocked up 10,800 miles.
So far its had replaced, fuel gauge lcd display ( found cracked at dealer...
