The mirror screws should be a brass shear screw....

The mirror screws should be a brass shear screw. If you have a conventional bolt in there, replace it with the OE one.
Reason being, if the mirror takes a knok, the screw shears and the mirror pops...

There is somtimes a little paly in the sprocket. check the teeth on the plate tho and make sure they aren't worn.
The bolts are about 6Nm. Just nip them up. Threadlock is a good idea.

Reason is, the hex on the specified NGK's is too low and using a conventional plug socket, you won't be able to tighten the plug up fully. Even a cheap box...

I'd guess that's what happened to this engine, not the plug. They've been fitting them...

All you need is the plate and nut off the later sidestands, the ones with the switch. Change them for the originals and you're sorted. Costs about a fiver and takes 10 minutes to do.

Fill it up to max and the fluid creeps on the seal, gets to the cap and lifts the paint.

What ever you choose to fit, don't use conventional cap heads. On some, not all, the cap head will hit the speedo drive. Not by much but it will hit.
Use either buttons or low profile headed caps.

That looks like the stuff. I use pretty big tubes which are a bit pricey for "occasional" use. You can also get the same stuff, but with Ducati on the tube from your dealer in more friendly size.

The Ducati stuff is a Threebond product. You can use any RTV or silicon based sealant, but i've found the threebond to be 100% reliable. Not so with other brands..............

I've just switched to HEL over "others". Quality is up to anything out there, finish is just as good (read excellent), they are neater as they are swaged and above all the price is v. competitive....
