i did the same had 1997 916bp with 20,000 miles on thhe clock.
changed to a 2001 y plate 996 bp with 5 spokes and ohlins rear shock :cool:
just does everything better...

Monster 600 1995

Had the monster running and it died out and would not start again. checked plugs and the plug on rear cylinder was sparking inside the plug not on the point.
It has done this before last time fitted...

I agree with andy b I had similar problem on my old 916 it needed new seals in slave cylinder. But yours is new but it still could be leaking :o
