just had a look for mine! it used to be in the pillion footrest bolt, but it has gone, vibration loss by the look of it, you can see where the bracket has snapped. I think the replacement will go on...

mine is currently at 68 deg C it was at about 71 deg C in the summer months.

got a st3 loan bike from Ducati Bristol whilst the 749 is being fixed.
It is a very comfy bike and my hands wernt cold on the way home, the scary thing was i could see 1/2 of what was behind me.
