thats not really comparing like with like though is it? Didnt Yamaha make a special edition of the R1 with Ohlins/marchenesi etc and it cost about £14k, so the 1098 looks about the right money for...

Think you are right there, in 10 years time I am pretty sure the 999 design will look modern, a bit like the mk2 Toyota MR2, still doesn't look out of place on the roads

The current RSVR has both headlamps on all the time whether on dipped or main beam, which is how it should be IMHO if you have side by side lamps.

Also on the 749/999, both are never on at the same...
