The electronics sorts the damping, and you're right. It's good old fashioned c spanners for the preload. There's also rideheight on the rear. Forks adjust for preload as per normal Ohlins to.

You'd expect so. Generally, the ECU can't be adjusted. There is software available that can remap the ECU but it's not in wide use.
It'd be worth dropping by your nearest dealer and get a TPS reset...
