I'm guessing we won't have a tyre deal and tyres in place before January so I'd better just get another set of Dunlops for Cartegena at the end of Jan.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't drill and tap the headstock to fit an ally fairing bracket?

Also, if I was to fabricate an ally tank, is 1.5 mm thick enough?

If you're not going to be reattaching anything there, just drill the bolts out or angle grind them off. The only time you need to remove anything carefully, is if you need to refit it or something...
