You could get a set of red or yellow plastics on ebay and sell the bike with those and take your grey stuff with you and fit them to your new bike! Must be better then trying to convert this...

same here! I think the only way is to just try stuff and take your time. I have never been on a track (yet!!) but i think that you still need to blip on the road. I even did it on my old R6 before...
