My ST2 did it once and blew the throttle bodies...

My ST2 did it once and blew the throttle bodies off the manifold. That was becasue i used the fast Idle when the engine wasnt cold. Both of my Ducati's have always started without any throttle...

Wrong Yeti, there shouldnt be any oil visible on the sight glass on the left hand side of the bike unless the motor is running. The oil level one is on the right hand side of the engine.

You should be able to see oil splashing around in there when the engine is running. If you can see oil when the engine is off then you have a problem!
