Well it is obtainable £36 from Halfords which makes it £4 cheaper than the 10W/40 Shell Advanced from Ducati dealers and about the same price as Rockoil 15W/50 specifically for motorcycles.

That’s odd it would take some force to do that damage at that point, so it could be a manufacturing defect but I wouldn’t imagine Ducati letting something as obvious as that through quality control....
